It is believed that after winning the Kurukshetra war, Pandav brothers were upset and were guilty of killing their own family members. On this Lord Krishna suggested them to visit various religious places and also mentioned the destination where their weapons will be dissolved, will be a sign of forgiveness of their sins. So Pandav started their pilgrimage and finally at Lohargal Kund in Sikar their weapons were dissolved confirming their forgiveness. Hence Lahar Kund has its spiritual relevance among the locals.
It is commonly visited by the devotees on all the religious occasions and various religious fairs are also organised in Somvati Amavasya, Bhadrapad Amavasya. As the hot spring has a Sun temple, so on the occasion of Surya Saptami a religious procession is organised in the Magh month of Hindu calendar attended by a huge number of devotees. Even the devotees take a holy bath in the kund to purify their sins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
